Hi everyone!
I've been curious about stereo setups lately because of a guitarist friend of mine. He splits hit guitar signal and runs 1 guitar to 2 effect chains. I was wondering if any of you have done the same but merge the signal back to one to run into one amp?
Anyone have an idea how to do this?
I've been up to the task of building a separate "pad" effects board, actually. Currently, my chain all runs in series. But, for the said project, what i have in mind is a direct guitar signal being split by a good signal splitting unit. Perhaps, a Radial Bigshot will do. From there, output A goes to "Pedal Board A" which is a series of pedals generically a Volume Pedal/Tuner, Pre-comp Boost/Drive pedal, Fuzz, Wah, Compressor, 2 Drive Pedals, Tremolo & 2-Delays (in stereo-panning). ...output B, on the other hand, goes to "Pedal Board B" which is then another series of pedals in particular such as a Volume Pedal, MicroPOG, Digitech Whammy 4 (optional), Boss PS3, Verbzilla (High Damping/optional) & a Strymon Bluesky (Low Damping).
Although Pedal Board A may be run independently on a single amp, it's basically a luxurious (not to mention ridiculous) 3-amp setup. Since, Pedal Board A may run in stereo panning already. ...on the other hand, Pedal Board B may be run on 2 amps too; which makes it a possible 4-amp set-up.
Right now, i still have a handful to acquire namely: Bigshot, Pre-comp Boost/Drive, MicroPOG, Whammy 4, (another) Volume Pedal, and then the Bluesky not the mention a reliable PSU for that matter. Temporarily, i'm using my ART-Xtreme for the "MicroPOG" sound wall, though.
Below are some recently recorded "conceptual demos" of, at least, how the end result would sound like. I'm really sorry about the audio quality, though. Cheers!
