I was actually testing my JVC cam and how the mic responds to the amp.  So I thought, "Why not post it?"  Don't mind the playing because I was just noodling (meron pa kong rendition ng "Narda", hehehe).  It's probably not up to par to most of the people I know here.  You'll see that I was actually watching "Myth Busters" at the same time!   :)

The video is not edited so it's a bit long, about 6 minutes.  There's also a part towards the end where the clip kind of skipped.  Don't know what happened there when I was importing the clip to my computer.

Here's what I used:
Ibanez RGT42DX (fresh from Pinas)
Diezel Herbert
Mesa/Boogie Standard Recto 4x12 (x1)
Morley Bad Horsey 2
Yamaha DG-Stomp used only as effects (patched in the switchable effects loop in series, preamp turned off, all controls at noon, all levels set to unity gain)

The mic from the cam sounded really decent except that it couldn't really get the lows that the amp pushes out.  All in all, I thought the camera did a good job.  I have some more clips from the cam, but they're for my personal viewing, hehehe... :wink:

+1 i guess this confirms my inital impression about the amp from oas' own diezel. pero bagay talaga siya pang modern rock/metal.

guitargeek - great playing and test routine!  tapos nakapambahay pa talaga ah, parang nasa pinas ka lang! haha...  bt next time, pls show your fast fingers.

Ganda ng tone sa mga lead at heavy metal riffs.  Pero yung clean hindi ko gusto masyado, medyo gritty.  Or sa gitara ba yon?

Anyway, shoot ka ulit ng video nakaharap naman sa camera!  8)

oh my god!!!!!!!!! perfect sound!!! just the sound na hinahanap ko!!! eheheh bawasan lng ng chorus heeheh and d kasi ako fan ng wah pero [gooey brown stuff] ganda ng sound!!! san nakakabili ng mesa boogie!!!!!!! ahahahaha para petrucci na talaga ehehhehe

Halos mabulag nga ako, eh, hehe. Dapat Orange yong 2nd channel para smoldering glow tapos bright RED yong 3rd channel para full on burning look, hehe :lol:

Thank you sir!  Coming from an excellent player like yourself, it's an honor.   :)   Metal lang po talaga ako mag-set ng kahit na anong amp kaya modern ang tunog.  hehehe.  Pero I think the amp can branch out.  I can't, hehehe.  Gumagawa din ako ng homework kaya ako nakapambahay lang eh.  Saka napaka init po ngayon dito.  Next time kunan ko ng clip naman yung fretboard instead yung amp.

Thanks!!!  Hindi ko masyado ginamit yung channel one.  Yung naririnig mo na gritty is channel two.  Pero the amp's clean is REALLY clean and loud.  Next time nakaharap naman ako sa camera.....   doing something else, hehehe   :lol:   Joke!

Actually, I was thinking more of a X-mas lighting, you know, the colorful ones that twinkles, hehe. Para happy mood while playing death metal, nyahaha!!! :evil:
