Looking good there sir Jonathan! :)

Salamat, Cayle! Tagal na din pero mas magiging tuloy-tuloy na yung trabaho ngayon at matatapos na din ito sa lalong madaling panahon.

After more than a week of curing tru-oil, it was time to re-clean the fret slots which were clogged with tru-oil...

I applied painters tape to protect the finish and I have an improved tool to clean the slots.

Masarap gamitin yung Japanese fret slot cleaning saw kaysa sa notched cutter blade. Mas pulido ang resulta ng trabaho.

Tru-oil really takes a while to cure when thick. The gunk I got off the fret slots were still gummy.

Double checking fret slot depth...

Clean slot...

'Til the next update. :)

Aha!  So that's how those tools are used!  Good progress!

@Kevs - yan ba yung pang acoustic? Premium na Alice kaya yun!!!  :-D

Guys, a question for DIYers who have experience doing such. How do you route or convert the guitar body from a floating trem to a floyd rose. I don't have power tools eh kaya I would appreciate those ideas using the least tool available. Thanks.

Magrerestore po ako ng 2 guitars... isang electric (unbranded i think) and isang acoustic...

eto ung mga issue nila...

Electric:
>> Pick ups
>> looks
>> mabigat ung fretboard
>> Hindi na pantay ung ibang frets (may dents na)
>> Grounded ung guiter.., may buzzing sound pag sinasaksak ko sa amp

Acoustic
>> busted na ung tuner nya
>> sira na ung pick up but i think the EQ/Tone knob is still functional
>> jack slot nya maluwag na
>> need to repaint

I'll be posting the pictures once I get them.

Sana po mabigyan nyo ako ng advice on how I can restore them.

Thanks po mga ka-PM!
:)

You would need this... a router.... Good brands are around 4k but it's worth the investment.
I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones.

Tone is in the bones! Just finished fabricating a bone saddle for a Takamine Acoustic Guitar. string resonance is more balanced and the piezo pickup contact to the saddle was better.

The one on the top is the fabricated bone saddle. The one on the bottom is the stock plastic saddle.

Speaking of bone, here's my humble Applause acoustic all clean and stringed up.

I ran out of masking tape so the new nut is not yet filed flush to the wood.

So ganun pala ang bone, totoong bone!

@Kevs!  Nut din, nice!  Review ng Alice!

@Jobo - looking good!  Want to see the process of levelling and dressing the frets.

Pinapa-stretch ko pa. So far so good. Medyo trebly siya kasi bago pa. Initial impression after noodling with it: lumalaban siya. Nag-gupit tuloy ako ng kuko. :-D

I am thinking of buying a vox amplug metal and I was wondering if someone can do this for me (for a fee of course)?
