Pinapa-stretch ko pa. So far so good. Medyo trebly siya kasi bago pa. Initial impression after noodling with it: lumalaban siya. Nag-gupit tuloy ako ng kuko. :-D

oks, will be installing one in my acoustic pag naluma na yung strings.  I guess the real test is gano sya tatagal!

Tonight, I went about filing the fret ends flush to the fret board sides and filing for bevel...

I have to rethink and improve my bevel filing block. It was a bit unwieldy and could be easier to use.

How it looked liked while filing the sides... I realized how you consistently trim the excess fret wire is important for better efficiency. I also preferred using the rough cut file until things were near enough to the fret board sides.

A slight waste of tape but instead of only protecting the sides of the fret board for the current job, I went about taking a "taping rehearsal" for the eventual fret leveling process.

A bit of a tense work night for me. Double the effort at concentration in order to avoid making any mistakes and possibly marring the finish. I couldn't bother to take any more pictures as I went along.

Here's a portion after being done with beveling...

Quite tired...

Busy schedule in the next few days and will be resuming to inspect, assess and evaluate things more thoroughly after this weekend before going any further.

Until then...

Guys, is it possible na gawing head ang combo amp? May 25 watt, 8 inch speaker amp ako. Plano ko sana yung 12 inch speaker eh. Is it possible na pag gagawa ako ng parang extension cab with a 12 inch speaker, makokonek ko ito sa combo amp ko? Bale, parang gagawin kong am head yung combo amp ko. If ever possible, pano yung style ng connection? Wala kasing line out yung amp ko.

Maraming salamat.  ^-^

Pwede. Disconnect mo yung "head" dun sa 8" speaker sa combo. Tapos tap mo yung (+) at (-) lead wires nung head papunta dun sa bagong 12" speaker mo.

Di mo kailangan ng line-out.

Take note lang yung impedance.

Salamat Chin. Anyway, since I need to extend the lead wires, anong guage ng wire ang bibilhin ko?

Welcome.

Masyado bang maiksi? :-)

ayos din yung ganon. anyway, I've been canvasing a crown 12-inch instrumental speaker. I saw some sa internet with 200 watt, 8 ohm impedance. My combo is a 4 ohm, 25 watt combo. Would this work? Since I'm not sure with everything yet, you would understand why I'm trying it out with a "crown" brand.

Thanks for all your suggestions.  The dremel suggestion gave me an idea to use the routing bits that I use for guitar wood.  And then today I learned how to use sanding paper!

So here's the process:
1. I used the routing bits (not sure if that's what it is called) to cut through the already existing hole in the back plate.  I used a chopping board with rubber edges to clamp the back plate  :-D

It was a messy outcome, and I thought I would just have live with a crooked hole, anyway it's in the back of the guitar.

2. Then I remembered I had some sanding paper, so I tried to use it, and I was surprised at the result.  I have 150, 280, and 400 grit sitting around that I bought 6 mos ago to lower a locking nut, but never got to do it.  It's not perfect, but it's far from the initial crooked cut from the routing bit.

3. And here it is attached to the guitar.  It's not perfect, but it's good enough for me.  What I realized was good with DIY is that if I make mistakes, it's not a very big deal vs. if I paid someone to do it and they didn't do a good job.  I am more forgiving to myself  :-D

The bulk of the budget for PVC guitar stand projects will lie with the number of T and L connectors.

I can't recall exactly how much (my PVC guitar stand project was several months ago), but I think you might be looking at around Php700 total for that project.

Couldn't care much bout stability. Wooden guitar racks have TOANZ being transmitted to the guitar!  :-P

Hahahaha! Lol. Seriously. But I'm in the process of making another wooden guitar rack here. Good for 5-7 guitars. Should hold up well and be stable. Ultra suicide.

Passive humbucker? You may want to try a 0.047uF cap.
