21-fret vs. 22-fret vs. 24-fret neck...

I like the feel of a 21 fret guitar. Makes you want to spank it. Very punchy. Kaya lang bitin mnsan for modern songs because of the lack of 22nd fret. So compromise na ssakin yung 22 fret neck.

Naka 24 din ako before. Mas madali mag play sa 17th to 20th frets but dahil di sya dulo, mas maganda pa rin tingnan yung 17th to 22nd fingering sa  22 kesa sa 24 fret guitar. specially when bending the 22nd note.

22 frets, kulang ng isa yung 21, sobra ng dalawa yung 24 pero masikip na sa higher registers. pag tanda ko bibili rin ako ng strat na 21 frets na may 6 screw trem, 3 tone sunburst at rw fretboard. hay sana may pambili

22 frets. I have a fernando strat which is my go to guitar. My fender tele is sweet but nabibitin ako sa 21 fret. I don't own a 24 fret guitar yet. Planning to buy one soon.

After thinking about it, it doesn't matter whether the neck has 21, 22 or 24 frets, but my preference is for at least 21.

I preobably spend much more than 24% of my time playing beyond the 22nd fret 

I agree with folks that feel that the neck pick up on a 24 fret instrument isnt as warm, though a higher than usual output neck pick up compensates slightly.

if i need find myself needing to play higher notes there are artificial harmonics on the B string 15th fret and so than can be whacked and blended into your lines when need be.

my first electric guitar was a 24 fret, then minsan nakikihiram ako dun sa kaibigan ko ng 22, almost same lang ang feel, only that, pag may gusto akong mataas na note, di ko makuha sa 22 fret, so simula nun, binili ko na electric 24 frets na lagi, nasanay na ako eh...pero maganda talaga neck pickup ng 22 frets na mga guitar...

Nakapag decide na ako nung nag join ako sa PM but not to use the 22-24 frets but to give my left hand more freedom when I play between 15-20 frets. This is more pronounced if you play on an LP then try an Ibanez.

sa akin ok lang kahit ilang fret as long na kaya mo mag adjust sa ibang fret at strings para makuha mo ung key na gusto mo...

24 frets. just get a warmer-sounding neck pickup [that sounds warmer on a 21 or 22-fret neck. LOL]

i seldom use the higher registers but at least i know those extra frets are there when i need them.

nagsimula ako 24 frets.  Pero habang tumatanda mejo nagmellow down na yung taste ko and I started switching to strats and Teles.  so 21 na ngayon. nabibitin pa din paminsan minsan pero naitatawid naman kahit papano

Yup.. the most important thing is that everybody should know how to play their choice of scales. mapa 21...22...24 frets pa yan.... And syempre, dapat melodic din and not just senseless 1000 notest per second licks...  Agree ba tayo?

korek... kalimitan kasi sa beginner ang hanap agad either 22 or 24 kasi mas mahaba mas mabangis...  pero kapag naka 22 or 24 na fret na di naman talaga alam ang purpose at ung note na nasa dulo...

24 frets para kompleto na. Pero at the end of the day, mas ok pa rin kung saan ka sanay. It's the playing and comfortability that matters anyway.

Hahahah  But the high registers of LTD EC1000 are a bit hard to get used to. Maybe because both of my hands are very close to each other when I play on them.
