the difference is, at first punk was used to describe a person. THEN came the musical style

emo refers to the music first.

ung yahoo groups nila typecast_emo.. pero dati tinanong sila ng isang user dun, "emo kayo? ambaduy.." tapos sabi ni melvin, "hnd kame emo.." tapos nagtaka ung user na un tinanong ung address nila sa groups.. naguluhan si melvin.. lalang.. nashare ko lang.. ive been and still a big fan of their first cd.. :-D

Melvin and Packoy used to be my bandmates for two different bands...

Melvin "Makatebayag" Macatiag used to work in my shop..  :-D

Steve used to "make tambay" at my shop all day long...  :-D

Melvin and I used to hang out all day long ("besprens")...    :-D

and yes... They are EMO...

and if what Mr. Paengkee posted is true, i'll kick them hard in the nuts..

and by the way, you can say whatever you want to say, you can diss and bash them on all ways possible but do you think what you're doin' will make those kids whom you labeled as "Emo Kids" stop from supporting the band you labeled, "EMO wannabes", "Post Hardcore Posers", "EGOcore", etc...

Hay naku... Just a piece of advise, stop the "POSER KAYO AKO HINDE", "MAS MAGALING AKO KAYA DAPAT AKO SIKAT", "POSER KAYO KASI PARE-PAREHO PORMA NYO", "BASTA EMO, POSER" mentality...

nagtataka lang ako bakit nung nagsimula mauso yung mga typecast-typecast at emo-emo na yan naging magkakamukha na lahat halos ng mga batang ka-edad ko dito sa amin?
particularly ung buhok nila ay ni-razor sa likod at napakahaba ng bangs na naka one-sided yung pagkakasuklay, super tight pants and shirts.
ginagawa pa nila circus ang musika, hinahagis nila ung mic at hahawkan sa cord (kawawa naman ung may ari ng gamit), o di kaya eh pipilitin nila paikutin ung gitara sa katawan nila.
yung iba nga na nakita ko sa friendster eh gusto na daw nila magpakamatay dahil emo daw?.bakit ganun? :?
