yup i respect the JDCB.they started the wholething.
they wrote great classic songs.
but they didnt experiment.
they didnt reach out to the whole class (i mean ang iba pangmasa,ang iba pangcoņo..)
they didnt sell that much.and wala pa nun piracy,mind you.

as niravana is to the world.
and they did everything mentioned above.

if im not mistaken ng platinum agad circus nun,launching palang.

kung wala lang masyadong line up changes,Rivermaya din, dapat mabigyan pugay.
sobrang raming hits at sa both class sya nakakaabot.
may nasabasa ako na rico blanco penned more hits in the 90's than any other songwriter(even including ely and the gang and the likes of ogie.).

Juan de la Cruz and The Dawn...well both of these bands endured what could have been the hardest times a band had experienced...no venues to play, no radio station support (mostly on payola basis)...opm recording outfits on their era are leaning more towards showbiz style recordings...and the scene during their times are heavily on showbands

btw, Eheads didnt claimed theyr music as rock but rather consider themselves as pop

It's eheads  for me, greatness is not a question of atmosphere before, it's a question of what you have achieve and how you influence the other bands, eheads is ahead compare to the dawn and juan delacruz in these department in my opinion.

The Dawn.The song"Iisang Bangka Tayo" meant a lot to me.My survival(yun yung team song sa dragonboat rowing team namin dati) and fortunes (yun din ang theme song namin pag nagsusugal kami sa casino ngayon)depends a lot on that song.hehe.

para sakin heads parin. sa mga nag-post diyan ng ibang artists, may tanong ako, Nung nagsisimula ba kayo maggitara diba madalas mga eheads yung mga tinutugtog nio? Kasi madaling kantahin at simple lang ang mga chords. saka dun kayo nagsimulang matutong maggitara. naalala niyo ba yung G-C chord ng pare ko, na marerealize nio na ngayon na ang tama pala ay g-em-c.
Pero I respect yours posts. hehe.

san kayo makakakita na kahit tunog lata sila, patok pa rin ang mga kanta nila at hanggang ngayon pag narinig niyo sa radio yung mga dati nilang kanta, napapasabay kayo ng kanta.

saka san kayo nakakita na banda na nag 3 or 4 times platinum ang album sa unang araw nang sales. Saka nag reunion concert ng isang gabi na umabot ng 50,000 ang nanuod at pinarioritize pa ang paggawa ng movie ng reunion na yun( kakanuod ko na nga lang kanina e) at isa pa humihingi pa ng part 2 ang mga fans.

im a fan of eheads too..pero di ko masasabi na sila ang best dahil iba ang marketing ng bands nung panahon ng JDC at The Dawn kesa sa panahon ng eheads...bihira nakapakinig ng mga sinaunang pinoy bands dahil hindi ganun ka-grabe airplay nila...

since di ko inabutan sina pepe smith sa juan dela cruz band noong time ng kasikatan nila, I'd say Eraserheads.. Ang tanging bandang nagrevoluinized ng Pinoy Bands.. Banda-banda kung baga.. Opinyon ko lang po ito mga sir, hehe, kasi sila na yung naabutan ko...
