Just want to ask...
is it a norm for guitar shops or luthier's or any other instrument related to not make the deadline for a specific job?
if yes, are we "spoiling" them?
if no, will you accept the "pasensya na" excuse?
Deadlines are a function of capacity. For example, kung maraming naka pila, mas matagal ang hintay mo. Kung walang nakapila, mas mabilis mo makukuha. Now if you want really fast service all the time, the luthier has to get extra manpower. The problem with that is that he will have to recover the fixed labor of that manpower.
So kung walang pagawa or kung kaunting pagawa, kailangan pa rin niya bayaran ang mga taong ito. Which means.... ipapasa sa iyo as part of the cost. It thus really now become a balancing act on the part of the luthier which means he has to pick a certain service level/turn around time versus the number people he needs to hire.
So, stop dreaming if you want to "spoil" yourself... You pay more for speed. If you don't want to pay for more; then settle ka na lang sa 'pasensiya' na.
Most of the time, its a custom job.
