Nothing wrong with MIC, let your ears be the guide.

Based on the stuff I've read I would also encourage you to check out some of the indonesian stuff as their factories appear to have a more stable tenureship with their workforce. I'm very happy with my Cort 335 (as posted above)

But do you think made in Ibanez that China made were all authentic?

If your scoring it from audiophile, as mentioned, you can't go wrong.

But use your ears  :)

Is there anyway i'll know the authenticity? I mean with the use of serial numbers stuffs like that,or even in physical appearance?

By the way, how does it sounds?

I'm sure one of our esteemed forumites will have answers for you, I'm not too knowledgeable in that area.

I've played a good one back when audiophile was still at its old pioneer branch. the last one i played at market market didnt speak to me.

again, i encourage you to try a few and make a decision informed by your ear. sometimes even 2 axes of the same make and model sound very different.

Someone is selling a  "Class A" AF75 at sulit.com

Well, we all know what "Class A" means.  :-D

Meron nga siguro talagang fake na AF75. Be wary.

... AF75, hirap nga maghanap ng hardcase nyan, option mo lang pa-custom ka or sa audiophile. Got my Gator Hardcase sa Audiostudio sa Megamall last 2008 pa. Goodluck bro  :)

Thanks man, but then i kind of changed my mind on the hard case, masyadong bulky my room is small as it is with all my wife's shoes, bags, etc. My man cave is now gone.. so i'm opting for a heavy padded bag instead.

sir in my opinion, it depends sa type ng music mo, kung jazzbo ka, swabe ang Flatwound Strings jan guitar mo, warm na warm tunog nyan. kung blues or any other genre (hindi mo naman gagamitin af75 sa rakrakan e  kawawa yan :-D) basta heavy gauge strings sir 10s or 11s (kahit hindi flatwound). For me masyadong magaan ang 9s sa AF75, I'll go for 10s. Pero gamit ko GHS Flatwound 11s sa E-A-D strings tapos Elixir 11s sa G-B-E.  But still its your preference pa din kung ano swak sayo, hindi naman ako expert e  :-D. goodluck!  :)

Just got an Epiphone '59 ES-335 Dot VS Limited. So I welcome myself to this thread! haha. I'm currently stringed with 10's which is a Gibson standard but also thinking if 9s would work on 335s.

9s might be too slinky and twangy on a short scale, IMHO. It's nice to have additional body and oomph on a semi-hollow guitar.

vegetablejoe has a les paul that's strung with 9.5s, which is a good guage for folks who are accustomed to 9s on fender scale necks (I'm assuming you're a 9s guy?).

yeah, been playing strats and teles on 9s for a while now. but there's something bout that big airy tone that the 335 bears and i know the string gauge is a major factor. so far the 10s on the 59 feels like a freshly installed 9s on a strat, a bit tight and thicker too. I wonder how these 10s would feel when they get broken in? I'll have to try those 9.5s!

in my opinion, well, based on experience.. if you are in standard tuning i would suggest use 10-46's. electric, since it's a semi-hollow electric guitar, Elixirs are not bad, they really shine (if you're not acidic), DR strings are not bad too.. but if you are in E flat tuning (like what i am in), i prefer to use Ernie-Ball 11-48's. Dunlop's are 11-52's kinda heavy, D'Addario's naman are 11-49's, kindi getting there. we should consider the 'tension' of the neck when installing heavy-gauged stings to avoid neck warping, etc.

also consider the tone factor of string gauges.

my two cents lang..

For the price (10K?) pwede na. I strongly suspect they are made in china and rj just stamp their name to it. the rj factory razed by fire years ago. they just import them guitars from china where labor cost is floor-level.

Actually sa korea gawa yung mga RJ guitars now-a-days. Bought an ESS-339 copy and it sounds good for its price :-D And im planning to change the pickups soon  :)

i think thats the beauty of the beast. the hollowed body and the laminated top creats that rounded and almost half muted sound, which to my ears are the tone you should expect from one, at least for me it is. else, ill play a strat if i wanted it bright and chimey :D

decided to reward myself on my natal day last month. i had absolutely no plans of aquiring anything until I stumbled upon a gorgeous sounding Cort Source 335.
...
my wife just named her "Dany" after Daenerys Targaeryan, coz the fiery red color reminds her of the mother of dragons (We're huge GOT fans)

Congrats, Anton. And belated birthday greetings....

Hmmm, in that case I should name my natural blonde Epi "Cersei"... not that it's a tramp... :-D

From a/b'ing 335's at micsis' shop once, I observed that some 335's are brighter than others; and some like my Epi Dot can seem dark-sounding.
