DANELECTRO PEDALS
« on: June 15, 2007, 01:50:42 PM »
3 questions sirs:

1.  Who among you have Danalectro pedals?
2.  What do you think of them?
3.  Are they available locally?

I've been hearing good things about this pedal.  I regret not buying them when they were available at that guitar store in Vira Mall before.  At that time, I wasn't familiar with Danelectro equipment other than guitars.  Or actually, nagpapaka conyo ako nun na "it's not a pedal if it's not a boss."

My chorus pedal is a Danelectro Cool Cat. Much better than the CH-1 IMO.

I've got the Danelectro Pepperoni Phaser. It's pretty cool. It phases your feedback too so you get this pseudo-creepy sound from it. They are generally good pedals with great value. Just be careful with them though.

Yup, especially when you're a bit drunk, rocking to hard on stage and you stomp on the pedals.

and when you're drunk, be careful when you stomp because when i stomped, my whole pedal board flipped over.

anyway, i have the danelectro milkshake chorus. its cool to the ears imo and really helps modify those dirtless lines. like using it specially when i dont use dirt in some songs.

Danelectro Wasabi Delay.

May reverse delay, so the delayed signal comes out in reverse.

It's a digital delay, but you can adjust how clear the delayed signal will come out, in effect adjusting how "analog" the delay will sound.

May built-in tap tempo footswitch that's different from the on/off switch... something that other pedals don't have... which I really don't understand because it's such a convenient feature.

I haven't checked if transparent, but it does its job.

I saw one sa Lyric sa Alabang Town Center... didn't check the price tho.

No clips eh. The reverse delay is useable. Pwede magsolo ng Give It Away if you really put time to it. Pero parang it doesn't sound as clear as the forward delay. Ok siya if you're not looking for 100% faithful delay sound.

I bought mine (DanElectro FAB Flange) from Singapore. about 900+ in peso equivalence. Maganda naman tumunog. Downside, plastic case. but for me, ok lang. i don't do much stomping on it.

I love my Danelectro pedals. I think they are underrated. I use the Dan Echo & Wasabi Distortion in my most basic pedals set-up. I also have the Fab Metal na mukhang laruan.

may nag-mod na ba ng danelectro pedals?  I mean, if people are saying that it's got structural integrity issues, then I suppose the circuitry could be moved into a metal casing...then perhaps add a 3pdt switch para true bypass...anyone?

Oo nga panalong-panalo. Siya yung analog dirt pedal na narinig ko na super dami ng voicings dahil dun sa eq knob. You can go from classic rock to full-on metal. :-)
