how come Zakk was given this title after Dime's death? Is it because that during the alternative/nu metal no one was doing enough guitar soloing? Black Crowes were, Gin Blossoms, Mike McCready, and so was Richie K, Marty F, Allan K..

kotzen and friedman are top notch guitarists, but they won't measure up to zakk wylde if we had a "guitar hero" contest. slash and zakk wylde are guitar heroes.

it's more than a popularity contest... heroes are supposed to inspire u to pick up the guitar... did kotzen or friedman did that to you? also, a guitar hero goes beyond guitar playing...

...the other players mentioned sa mga ibang posts are great guitarists, but I think that most of them inspire you to continue playing guitar and get better... and Zakk and Slash inspired me to pick up a guitar.

they're just saying the last, because there's a trend of non-soloing guitarists out there...and if there are guitarists there who solos (e.g. laiho), they're not as big as zakk wylde. but i don't agree with them anyway, so zakk won't be the last.
