From what I've heard, ang ganda daw ng stock pickups niyan. They also started selling them separately.

I got info that they are shipping this back and a whole lot of other items back to Japan HQ..kasi di mabili dito..at nabubugbog lang sa kakatest ng mga tao

may slight dings na ito and nalusaw ng konti yung nitro na neck dahil sa guitar hanger...

I need to sell off my jag to offset a bit for this.. but man..di ako pinapatulog neto...GAS

How much in pesos do you think this costs? mayroon ba neto sa Crescendo??? palagay ko dapat at least nasa mga 50k PHP +- to..

my gulay, tinamaan na naman ako ng GAS

It's a Competition Stripe. They usually put those on Mustangs (and a version of sorts on the Toronado). Fender Japan put those out a while back as a way to spice things up for the Japanese market. They have all sorts of weird offsets over there. They also have a stripped-down HH Jazzmaster with the JM cover also serving as a pickup ring!

yeah.. actually the seller hated it so he covered the stripe with tape..will see how it goes..hahaha oo nga japan market has really weird stuff..haha cant even google it..

mas mura dyan and mas alaga siya..id say get the one in crsecendo.. lugi tayo dito sa ishibashi..di kaya..blackstar amp nalang or yung jazzmaster  hahaha

well watcha think? I still have to negotiate a bit..once I make up my mind..but the item looks pretty new..he got it from japan as there is a japanese barcode sticker at the back neck plate..comes with the case.."Made in Japan" imprint..probably 3-4 years old..

Im trying to imagine it with the white racing stripe.. price is quite fair for the condition naman (hopefully makapag negotiate pa ng konti)  kaya interested ako sobra..

Hi gavinmulhall: this line of Japanese jazzmasters came with the American pickups installed so I didn't have to upgrade myself. Your research is correct - the standard Japanese pickups are very strat like - I think it's down to the fact that they are a physically bigger (higher) pickup than their American cousin. These pickups are ovely sounding - very authentic jm sound and the guitar is very quiet - there is practically no hum which is a big plus for me. You are welcome to try her out if you think you would be in the market for a good jazzmaster.
