Guy, I need some simple reviews regarding the Behringer DD100 and DR100.

On the DD100:
-Noticeable ba masyado ung sinasabi nilang "click" sa sound kapag ginagamit mo to?
-May kaparehas ba itong Boss na pedal in terms of the sound quality?

On the DR100:
-Satisfying na ba sound nito or just plain crap?

On DD100 quite decent, it's cheap but it is doing its work as for a delay. I use it for now as a trail or tail on my lead sound. it can throw up a good sound (for me) with just the right tweaking. Plus my tap tempo pa siya. And for now i'm satisfied with it. Peace!  :-D
ehem... excuse me po! its better to give than to manakawan... lm :D

i still have my X-V Amp, bought it last 2005, i think. i had some problems with it before, the presets kept resetting whenever i finish using it. turned out it was a drained memory battery, which costs only 100 pesos. good thing i did a lot of research, taking it to the behringer service center could've cost me 1k or more.

i also use a V-Tone 15watt amp, the best practice amp i ever had, works well with me because of its "neutral" nature.

i have tried UP100 and DR100 before. :-D

ast week i sold one of my GDIs (i have/had 2)  to a friend here in our place. but before handing him the item, i made it a point to clarify to him weaknesses and strengths of the unit based upon the impression the GDI gave me. well, after spending a couple of months with the GDI, siguro i could say that i have an extensive experience when it comes to the unit. so after selling one of my units, i spent more bonding time with the one left. and again, i discovered some pleasant/unpleasant things with this baby.

my take on the GDI:

a pretty useful unit, it has TONS of gain and plenty of volume. when using the balanced output, parang less yung level nya compared to the regular out. pretty sturdy case, wont rip apart when you stomp on it. responsive controls.

if you already have a concrete idea of a particular tone you are after, baka madisappoint ka. no, actually it is easy to get good tones out of this box. the only problem: IT EATS AWAY YOUR MIDRANGE! i dont know, but maybe it's just how i hear things. my Greco LP is an open midrange instrument. plenty of it. but when i engage the GDI (case in point: Fender amp sim, set on clean), parang nawala na yung midrange ko. yeah, Fender is clean, but i want my midrange. turning the EQ (treble and bass) to zero did not have much effect. setting it on classic mic'ing seemed to salvage some of what's left of my midrange.

the Brit sim is too trebly. the Calif mode for me was its saving grace. just dont switch to high gain or hot modes, or else too much gain will muddy up your tone, and magiging malabo ka na sa mix. the Fender sim is okay, except mas prominent yung midscoop.

so for starters, eto settings ko:

Calif mode/clean gain/classic mic placement (classic mic for a more present midrange), treble & bass set to zero (for my midrange to cut through), volume and drive set to taste.

ayan, above is just my impression of the GDI, or baka bingi lang ako. if the GDI sounds close to a real Sansamp GT2, probably baka ganito rin yung GT2. i have no prior experience with the GT2, so dont take my word for it. tingin ko mage-enjoy sa GDI yung mahihilig sa chug chug and scooped mids.

sir Bamf could be right that this is a stand alone pedal. it hates sitting right after other OD pedals.

Thanks for sharing this to us.  :-)

you're welcome. ang totoo tuner at delay na lang ng behringer ang natira sa akin, a boss volume pedal, and 6 other DIY pedals. do i miss my GDI? you bet. i think it is particularly useful pag straight to mixer that it serves its purpose well. pero kung may amp ka wag na lang.

if you want to piss your bandmates with the huge (ridiculously) volume you'd get from this as a drive/dist pedal, go ahead

Ang astig ng Behringer PB100! 1st time ko gumamit ng booster and I was blown away, mas malaman na ung distortion, parang na-overkill ung tunog!

Guys ano ba opinyon nyu regarding this pedal?

And may mod ba para sa pedal na to?

i got UT100, ok naman, cheap, yun lang the housing is plastic, tsaka common na sakit ng behringer nawawala yung light(led) pag overuse or sakin lang nangyari to. i like behringer pedals for modulations..

well I have a behringer ultra distortion.. sometimes it sounds good, sometimes it doesnt.. I've had it for two years.. no problems at all..

I also bought a package strat guitar+amp along with the stompbox 2 years ago.. at that time, I was just looking for a practice amp, and since a guitar is included so, why not? they are all still working fine.. GM108 15w SS modeling amp..

and I practiced on doing my own setups with this guitar.. truss rod adjustment, saddle-fretboard radius, intonation, string heights... and the reason why I can't part with it is because the neck is just too good.. it's thick and more of a "D" shape.. I just love the feel of the neck, nevermind the frets and the nut, as well as the tuners.. but a little care on winding the strings, the tuners work just fine.. the neck angle is pretty rough.. it angles like a "V" with the body.. I had to correct that and put thin credit card material wrapped in a piece of construction paper shims to the neck pocket and screwed it up.. I thought I was going to mess it up, but it didnt.. it now plays like a million bucks to me..

that guitar is the most resonant electric guitar I've ever had.. it's louder than my MIM Std tele unplugged.. at high gain, it kind of gives off a flanger like sound.. maybe it's just the pickups going microphonic.. but in normal situations, it's mellow and bit on the trebly side.. which I like.. excellent when played with a reverb..

You don't choose the guitar, it chooses you.

If at any point in time you cannot afford a particular guitar, don't play it. If it chooses you, you have to buy it.  If you simply can't beg, steal, or borrow, you will eventually die of a broken heart..

Last time I checked Sir, meron pa doon sa Megamall. 5th floor, Building A, sa pinakadulo. I was supposed to get a Phaser and a Tremolo there, pero may nakita akong better deal dito sa PM. Try mo sa Classifieds Sir. Good luck! Cheers! :-)
