From post on first Page. .  2008. . It finally find its way back home!!!

My Narra Custom Guitar. .  borrowed by my cousin . . way back 1984!!!
He gave it back to me. . when i visited them last summer. .
not using it anymore. .  he's now a doctor in Cal.USA.
Built this when I was still in college. . .
got a chance to get hold of this nice wood. . .
an amature luthier back then and now. . .
this was the outcome. . .

Body: Narra(red)
Neck: Guijo
Date made: approx. . 1983

Make minor restoration (stored in their attic. ..the finish was damaged badly. . refinish it), replace knobs and added string post. .
Back then this was the best guitar in MY world :-D :-D :-D

ganda nito sir! parang gusto kong kopyahin design nito pag mag papa custom ako hehehe. ganda!

I was at Quiapo yesterday. I was looking through the power tools. Yeah, they're pretty affordable. Just a matter of knowing where to get some cheap. :-)

Mikko, I found the handwinder you told me about before. Looks nice. Hehehe! BTW, when can drop by so we can get started on fabricating the body?

My only concern is that once I have the sander building will never stop :-P

Is that supposed to be a bad thing? LOL! :-D

ok, after a few days i'm still not done processing and sorting the wood!   :-P

i used to wonder why luthier vendors love milling wood but hate sorting and matching wood for sets.  now i understand

anyway, here's my partial semi-final sorting:

harp guitar back and sides:

lacote:

classical/OM:

the unfinished part (orphans, cracked sides, or still undecided)

the wood above, broken down:
droptops?

sides or backs?

backs?  bindings?  headplates?

sides?  backs?

anyway, its actually fun.  hopefully i get it done soon.  then let it sit for a few months before i even think about making them into   something...

mikko naman, oks lang yan pre.  thicknessing plates is very hard without the right tools.  i'm thankful that you're trying :-)

i will not thickness plane these plates by hand, the wood is just way too dense and hard.  the blackwood has already dulled my saw, what more my jack plane?

joseph, i'm really sorry that its taking long.  its embarrassing  :-(  i will make that drum sander, and once i make it mabilis na yan.
