Made from leftover mahogany from my other project.

nice! both pieces of wood are mahogany? the other seems lighter, or maybe it's the ambient light playing tricks with the photo.  :)

yup.they're mismatched.the top half is lighter than the bottom half.the bottom half is left over from my wood stash 2 years ago harvested from 15yr old forest growth mahogany.the top half is from 5yr old farm grown mahogany.

wish it had,but the owner of the limo is a photographer from Dagupan and cannot play any instrument.I just subcontracted for the wood interior.

Bah! Ok ah. Marami din palang magagaling na luthiers sa tin. Next time na uwi ko papagawa ako ng gitara jan. Maganda kayang kahoy sa gitara ang duhat? Nahulog ako sa duhat nong bata ako e. Hehehe. Sino po ma rerecommend nyo pong luthier sa pinas. Postpone ko na lang ed roman built na guitar Gas ko.

I mocked it up before finishing and the guitar feels well balanced imo.it's not neck heavy,and i think it will tip the scale at 7 lbs or lighter when complete.I enlarged the control cavity to make it lighter,so I can save my back during long jams.

thanks.the top is the mismatched mahogany.i had it airbrushed.I gave the artist an old Carvin catalog so he could copy the quilt top in tobacco burst.got the idea of a foto flame top from an old Samick ad in Guitar World

That's why the flames lacked the 3D effect and depth. Still, it looks great.

It's been done before. Nato has been used for acoustic backs and sides, which has much stricter requirements for stability than electric guitar bodies. So I don't see why not.

Dunno. Bayabas trunks aren't wide enough for guitar building, I think. Who knows?
