my unfinished work..still waiting for the kamagong !!!!! http://s1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/josh_rock45/guitar%20001/?action=view¤t=SDC11038.jpg
Made from leftover mahogany from my other project.
@j-sonic, may built-in amp ba and ride mo?
yup.they're mismatched.the top half is lighter than the bottom half.the bottom half is left over from my wood stash 2 years ago harvested from 15yr old forest growth mahogany.the top half is from 5yr old farm grown mahogany.
I mocked it up before finishing and the guitar feels well balanced imo.it's not neck heavy, and i think it will tip the scale at 7 lbs or lighter when complete.I enlarged the control cavity to make it lighter,so I can save my back during long jams.
my Kelly project, with foto-flame top in tobacco burst
I have stated that there are more bad sounding suhrs then there are good ones.
NICE!!! What wood is the droptop?
Nice!!
thanks.the top is the mismatched mahogany.i had it airbrushed.I gave the artist an old Carvin catalog so he could copy the quilt top in tobacco burst.got the idea of a foto flame top from an old Samick ad in Guitar World
Dunno. Bayabas trunks aren't wide enough for guitar building, I think. Who knows?
