heavy metal and distortion efx
« on: March 25, 2008, 11:23:33 AM »

mga tugtugan ko kasi is from metal up to urbandub songs :P hehe

well IMO for metal you wont actually need all that gain and fuzz of a "metal" pedal. I barely use the gain in my distortions because if you crank up the gain all you'll get is a lot of mush and you would have a hard time cutting through the over-all mix when jamming with a band.

IMO get a good distortion pedal, it will be more than enough to suffice for playing metal, plus you could roll back the gain and have nice and clean distortion tones too.

cheers man  :-D

edited: pedal that comes into my mind: grab a BOSS Turbo Distortion DS-2 . its what urbandub uses the last time i checked.

i use the same pedal sometimes live and i think you would love the chunky sound you could dial up with one of those.

maganda yung Distortion nung GTX. ive tried one out myself. :D and they're cheap at around 1.3k lang brand new and they sound pretty good for a "clone"

go for the boston hm-100.  versatile na pedal yan. kuha nyan tunog from distortion to heavy sound. tyaga lang sa pag tweak. malaking tulong din kung may eq pedal ka.  :-)

I don't know kung kaya, but pretty close siguro.

I think (just a thought), from what I've seen and heard,

Gab uses a DS-2, Korg Ax10g (or the one like the g2.1u), and one or two modulation effects.

Dinopol (right) I've heard has a Crybaby, a DS-1, and a G9.

for me kasi....  basta zoom, ang panget panget panget ng distortion, napaka nipis!

kasi zoom is built for economy not quality, ginawa siyang affordable. ngayon naging affordable nga, pumanget naman quality..
