Anun palagay niyo sa mga transition na mga metal bands naun?? sama na din natin un mga subgenres nila

mas ok ba un TECHNICAL approach nila sa mga paggawa nila ng songs and leadwork or mas ok ba un lumang bands??

there are two popular trends of metal now:

-power metal based metalcore

and

-gore/brutal metal

both arent my thing really...

A lot of the newer metal bands are going towards the technical direction but are neglecting the musicality aspect of metal. I really think it would be better to have a balance of both. I enjoy some new bands that sound modern but are able to blend in some old school influences.

astig shadows fall. one of my favorites. pero metalcore sila?? di ko masyado gets metalcore eh... parang medyo nag iincline sa thrash ang tunog nila eh, lalo na ang "what drives the weak".

di ko masyado gets metalcore eh... so i won't call them metalcore... yet. just, good old metal.

i like metal as it is and expect metal to evolve like all the other genres as well. where it will go well i guess we'd just have to live with it.

what i dont like is how people debate endlessly that this band is -insertgenre- and not -insertgenre-. i dont give a %^&# whatever you play metalcore or not, death metal or emo metal or whatever and all that categorizing going on.

Genres are for music store shelving anyway.

People always try to ask us what genre we are. we just say metal. para walang hassel. and even then, may hassel pa rin, hahahaha!

Sa napapansin ko, mas dumadami ang mga metalcore bands na technical ang approach sa pagtugtog. Balang araw meron na ding satanic black pagan progressive power metalcore ballads with matching acoustic versions as bonus tracks.

For me, metal will always be a metal. Marami lang talagang basurang artist na bumili lang ng BOSS MT2 eh metal na tingin nila sa kanila. Ako I am not worthy for a metal, masyadong malalim ang metal para saken at ginagalang ko ang bagay na un.

basta ako, i don't care about the genre anymore. basta gusto ko tugtugan mapa-old school thrash metal, metal core, hardcore metal, alternative brit-pop basta na-dig ko yung music, yun na yun. meron lang talagang iba na stuck up sa metal merong iba na naabsorb kahit anong music. may iba naman na Korn ang pinakikinggan na feeling nila heavy na sila at nilalait ang music ng coldplay. meron ding posero tulad ng sabi ni wiccan, nmeron ding puro angas. basta ako, kung ano gusto ko, yun pakikinggan ko. Kung ano man maging future ng metal basta pasok sa pandinig ko, makikinig ako.

i enjoy metal because i dont cant see the talent i want to have on some show/pogi bands out there..only a few can understand how a metal song structure is composed..and be happy if you can try to appreciate how people have been able to compose such a song of church of deviance by spawn of possession and luke jaeger's hypnogogic qualm..hehe..game!
