I swear by those purple Dunlop Tortex Jazz 1.14's. Ok din yung standard-sized Tortex and the yellow Ultex. Feels and sounds great, mas bright nga lang yung Ultex. For acoustics, Fender Thins. Very percussive and great for strumming, madali nga lang mabali.

I was using Dunlop Ultex .73s up until a week ago when I tried the 1.00mm Big Stubby. I liked the tone it produced on my acoustic.

I used Jim Dunlops Tortex TIII .88mm and Delrin .96mm good for various techniques and recently I just got my hands on these bad boys, Hetfield Black Fangs Ultex 1.14mm, very bright and durable, great for speed, alternate and downpicking

from Generic normal sized picks to Jazz III (red) to Ultex Jazz to Ultex Jazz 2.0 to John Petrucci sig picks to This

I feel more confident playing fast runs because I can sense all the notes I'm hitting with the pick.. plus I get more bite with the pick attack (I love Paul Gilbert's pick attack sound when he rips it)

This is the reason why I left all the Jazz/Petrucci/small picks. Big picks really give you that especially the Tortex Sharps. I like the 1.35mm blacks the most. Even more so than the 1.5mm whites.

Na-baby masyado ang picking ko using those small ones. I'm getting back my picking mojo with these Tortex sharps

I use the 1.35mm blacks for practice only.. I find them too thick already which kinda hinders some of my upstrokes sometimes. I found my zen in these 1.14mm's hehehe

hindi na ko nakakahanap ng dunlop tortex na colored! last time sa jb megamall ang available lang nila yung black na tortex.. lahat ng thickness black tinanong ko kung wala na nung orange (0.60mm kasi gamit ko) wala daw ganun arrgg.

Sa mga naghahanap ng V-Picks locally, meron kay Micsis. It's 200 pesos each so kung bibili kayo, huwag niyong walain haha! I believe ang meron siya dun ay yung Screamer, Switchblade, Stiletto, Medium Pointed Lite, and something na nakalimutan ko na. Yung isang nakalimutan ko ay maliit lang.

Kakabili ko lang kanina ng Medium Pointed Lite (pictured.) I'm currently enjoying the hell out of it on my acoustic! I tried the others din kanina, pero for acoustic, I think mas ok yung Medium Pointed Lite and Screamer.

I think I've found THE pick!

Now what the hell do I do with all the Ultex .73s that I stocked up on...
