if i were the gf, and my bf tells me all about his GAS'es (and he happens to have the moolah for it) i'd say take it. i actually enjoy accompanying my bf to music stores for his strings and other guitar-related stuff. though i'm no guitarist, and i don't know smack about guitars and whatnots, i find the trips quite fascinating. it's really fun to see your lurv light up every time he sees or talks about potential GAS'es.

...and i enjoy going to their practices so i don't know if there is anything that we could fight about that is directly related to his guitars, GAS, practices, gigs and his bands. i don't understand how some women can't seem to accept their boyfriends' passions. there's a friend of mine who is actually torn between choosing over his wife, and the guitar. wife says it's either he sell his guitars, or she leaves. the poor dude had to sell his stuff.  he'd tell me how miserable he is from time to time.

my only stand in the whole GAS vs Wife/Fiancee/GF issue is this: Gitara, o True Love?

haha. i borrowed that from bf. and btw, i gave him a pedal tuner. because i remembered one of his GAS'es and i did my research by talking to all the guitar players i know. i think he likes it.  

oh hi akelle! what a coincidence. i gave my bf a korg pitchblack too. 

im pretty balanced with my gas and gf. she knows im happy with everything i buy, from picks, to strings, to tuners, to pedals and guitars. yet i don't forget her.

parang balance lang, today i gas. next time i allot budget for her, resisting gas.
she's still studying (im just 22,shes 21 ha baka sabihin niyo pedo ako) so, i dont ask anything from her. and im happy so long as she's happy. i budget my money: GAS, her, savings (which leads to gas parin haha)

but i would GREATLY APPRECIATE
if she would surprise me with pedals like you did

after almost two decades of being married to my beloved wifey, she gave me three lovely kids, all grown up now, every one of them musicians also & plays teh guitah, bass, keys, drums & even violin. Everyone sings also ( but the eldest "Screams" )

& at times she says, pafi... benta mona yng  ibang gitara mo jan... bayaran na ng tuition fee ng panganay natin   di mo naman pwedeng pagsabay-sabayin yng mga gitara mo eh...

or sometimes, pag anjan na yng bills ng meralco, maynilad, DSL internet, etc...

pag konti lang budget, kahit sine lang tsaka Mc Do, oks narin yun. ang mahalaga is that we give them time, & show them na after all those years ay sya pa rin ang importante sayo, & not your job, your car, your big bike, not even your Vintage Strat, or PRS , Tube Amps or your boutique pedals...

eh kung mas may oras naman talaga para sa gitara at walang wala na talagang oras para sa gf, kahit sinong babae magseselos at magtatampo.

My wife made me build a small pedalboard because she saw how difficult it was to lug my main board around. Plus she's looking forward to her own bass (she wants walnut!) and acoustic. Friends, there's someone out there who'll see the merits of booster or a delay the way we see it. Don't lose hope.
