this is a false assumption lagi ng mga gustong magpabuo ng pedals. "sa yo na lang ako papagawa ng toobskrimer, mas mura yun diba?" my response has been "get a j0yo na lang pare, mas mura yun." actually, having HAND-MADE pedals is way more taxing sa katawan ng builder. time, effort, hours of testing, designing the project, actually building it, and replying to consumer queries no matter how unrelated to the build in question, those take time.

Sounds familiar... LOL

hehe, some folks here sa place namin do think that clones are cheaper. when i explain the process bago ako magbuo, masaya ako when they understand my point. pag hindi, well, they cant force me to, nor will i heed their request lalo na kung tipong nakakaaburido yung request ("gawan mo nga ako ng OD so-and-so, pero wag ka na maglagay ng brand mo ha, eto ilagay mo, Sh|tname FX").

Clones are a way for us simple folk and mortals to at least get as close as we can to the tone were looking for.

Paint chip close is better than just settling for what you can get with your gear.

hehehe, di naman. he wanted a "signature" pedal, but wanted no trace of my identity/touch on it. ok, gave in once, but the second time proved to me that he is being an @$$ na.

di ko kilala yang mark-up boy na yan ah hehehe.

New member lang mga boss. Haha.

For me, yung paggawa ng clones and re-selling them, against talaga sa batas.

Anyways, I'm now designing/modifying certain pedals already out in the market. I use Multisim Design Softwarehabang nasa design phase palang ako. Sobrang dali na tuloy sakin para magdesign. Hahaha.

How are your projects coming along, guys? I hope may mga bago kayong original builds. Let's test 'em soon. Part of our agenda in the near future is to hold different PhilMusic-sanctioned workshops/seminars and I'm pushing for a pedal designing workshop/exhibit to be included. A series of workshops, even. Kayo ang magiging bida sa event na yun, so do your best!

I'm not sure sir. Pero it doesn't matter to me na naman. At least i know for my self na ako mismo yung ng-add nung mga dinagdag ko. Haha.

We are already getting pre-orders from dealers in for it, before we've even worked the prices out. I tell you, it sounds stunning. It's knocked two pedals from my board. I've got a fuzz proto here as well that has knocked another one off... Exciting times!!

I'm pretty sure it'll knock some pedals off of mine too. Can't wait to try it and hopefully get one for myself. Thanks Jason. Hey, glad to have you back here. :)

Oh wait, I already have the Paisley, but I see no harm in stacking up two. :D

been wondering why kelangan ng MI audio ilabas yung trimmer sa loob when it's just a passive lowpass filter, although topologically different nang konti lang naman sa existing treble control nya. kung gusto mo ng fuller range ng existing treble control, the most na pwede sigurong gawin is to max out the presence trim to its brightest, and use a higher value pot to get more range. review-hin ko nga yung schem nun just to check.

Cheap dapat! :-P

BTT: IMHO, if you're a DIYer, it's okay to build then eventually sell once you're tired of it (or if you want to fund a new project). If you plan on commercially selling your work:

1. Clones of out-of-production circuits should be okay (e.g., Klon Centaur, Tonebender, etc.)
2. If modded from an existing circuit, give credit where credit is due.

yung presence control trimmer ng v2 is nasa loob pa din nung pedal. kung gusto mong i-adjust for a better top end, bubuksan mo pa yung loob. kaya parang yung nga yung naging advantage nung shredhead and others na may presence pot, madali lang mag-adjust kung medyo muddy or maingay na para sayo yung tunog.

Cheap dapat! :-P

+1! Still give credit to the original innovators.
