@ paparoni & neil_squadron: Mas madali para sa akin mag-export ng board layout into PDF file since ready-to-print na rin siya. Print in high quality lang and page scaling is set to "None". Try mo. :-D
[/quote]

@cacophony..will try that as well..nice..thanks much man..

yep man same lang naman yun, pag PDF kasi isang layout lang isang page.
not like when you extract it in .PNG image, pwede mo i-paste ng marami sa ms word, hindi naman magbabago ang reso ng image.
para sakin mas ok ang image, multiple layouts on 1 page.
wel kanya-kanya naman yan, hehe.

@pie-key

Keen.  :-)

about sa PDF:
hmmm.... sakin oks yun... kasi gaganda yung image quality ng PCB mo..... but for CAD users like us siguro para sakin depende pa din sa printer...... i use LASER printers malini, mabilis, sulit.... mura pa print....

about metal enclosure:
ahhhhh..... nice yun bro.... but for me kasi gusto ko lahat DIY plastics... hehehehe di bale bro im going to do that later.... prototype pa lang naman yun so madami pang mprovements, but you have given me an idea....... and thats great yun nga lang costly..... thanx man.....

about my projects:
mga sir salamat..... i just hope lahat to magawa ko in time and budget... hehehehehe medyo mahal.......
the thing is sana magwork lahat......  MG50clone  magastos although 4558 lang ang amplifier niya mahal pa din kapag nagsum.....

happ DIYing......

ABOT SA DRILL:

bro hindi lang sa alexan may magandang drills..... try mo other shops sa raon... wag ka ng magpakalayo layo pa.... deeco has quality ones......   and some shop has basic ones........

i use basic ones sa pcb drilling...... i use a mini drill RED colred ones..... i bought it for less than 500php...... sulit kasi 5 years old na xa oks pa din...... i use a 3000mA DC adapter to power it... para malakas ang torque at maganda, malinis at pulido ang butas....... i prefer it because puwede siyang i-upgrade into cutter drill.... may nabibiling mga diffrent drills pa for that kaya sulit basta alagaan lang ng mabuti.... hope it helped

You got a point. Here's what I got: export the PCB image into high resolution (i.e. 1000 dpi), open MS-Word, insert image, copy and paste multiple images as long as the page is optimized, and save the document as a PDF file. Hybrid! :-D

next project.....

MARSHALL MG50 guitar amp clone
the schematic was taken from google search.... and redrawn to take out the clean channel
and the overdrive channels only. including the prescribed marshall amplification power supply.

The project will be used in a two 40W, 3inch stereo speakers. it will be then formed into a
mini stereo amplifier.

the design and speakers

at the upper layout is the clean channel PCB
at the middle is the overdriven channel PCB
at the bottom is the power supply unit (marshall)

the speakers

happy DIYing.....

magsearch ng possible ways to get the parts.... for example shops, parts, prices, at availability..... madami kasi gawa ng gawa pero sa bandang huli may kulang dahil walang part na ganito ganyan dito...... kung wala your free to ask questions here bro.... were all glad to help beginners like you guys..... kung subs walang problema.....

next thing is, paggawa ng PCB..... if youre lucky to find a way to do your pcb much better, but if your too scared to do it then, do the basic, use a universal PCB.... a bit of a hasstle but it will teach you a great logic.... promise.....

TS9 is a nice pedal..... very basic OD... good luck to you....

happy DIYing to all.....

dadi dan, accessible sayo lahat ng parts, you wouldnt have any problems sourcing them out. i see you want to know what makes the ts9 tick. curious minds get the answers most of the time :D konting background lang sa soldering and parts ng mga components (pinout ng trannies, caps, etc.), kayang-kaya mo yan papi. i say it's quite easy to have the same circuit based on the schematic. kung wala ka ng parts like the exact ones used dun sa mga units in the market today, i think you couyld get away with some part substitution naman (like placing an electro in place of tantalums).

i had the same syndrome before. what frustrated me though is finding out that the tones i could get werent as great as the hype it received. :D

IC based distortion pedals.

IC based = more quiet, lesser noise
transistor based = more noise

LOLz! Hindi pa rin pala solved 'to Josh?!

Tama si Ron. Based on my experience and IIRC, dapat yung forward bias voltage sa FET is matched doon sa specifications ng FET or else noise would be highly intolerable. Basically FET is like a tube. It always needs to be biased according to manufacturer's catalog. That is why multiturn/ high precision potentiometers are recommended for this. Another way is, if you have good ears, just tweak it to taste until less noise is achieved. However, it would be difficult for you doing so in an effect board consisting of several gain stages. Ooooh! That's a bigger one! :-D
