i'll go for BOSS DS-1.. kasi yun gamit ko.. tama yung mga previous comments about it, kasi maganda tlga tunog, pag nasa low gain, it could sound like an Overdrive, Pero pag mejo nilagay mo sa mid ata mejo Fuzzy ang tunog, tsaka pag fully distorted na. mafefeel mo na ang sarap ng BOSS DS-1! hehe..!

The turbo mode boosts the mids for soloing. Pwede din low gain sa mode 2 for blues. This is one of the most versatile distortion pedals imho.

Maganda yung mid boost ng DS-2. Pero yung stage 1 malayo sa tunog ng stock DS-1. Kaya kung DS-2 gamit mo mas maganda you just leave it sa turbo mode, parang modded DS-1 na rin.

Still own a DS-1 but it's not on my board right now. Realized that it was meant more to be used with the amp's dirt channel. I found that boosting it with an OD works well too. Really can't get myself to like the DS-1 on the clean channel. YMMV

My vote goes to the SH though.

My DS1 brit is the most versatile distortion pedal ive ever had. almost 4 years na yata sakin yun and still gives me satisfying tone.

MV SH is also versatile specially for high gain side. Also good for low gain!!!

DS1 Brit mod + MV SH = Perfect match

the fulltone gt-500 is pretty thick.

but in terms of versatility, imho, i vote for the pigtronix polysaturator. can do from slighty dirty, extremely fuzzy and all that's in between.
