for me, ayos siya as a metronome (kasi meron siya nung lahat lang ng needs ko sa metronome)... may quarters, eighths, sixteenths (and another with inner beats omitted), triplets (and another with inner beats omitted). meron na rin siyang diff. time signature (0-7). may tap function na rin siya... may built in speaker narin... Tempo adjusts from 40 - 208 bpm... plus may reference pitches narin siyang kasama (for those who tune their drum accdg to notes and for those who want ref. notes for their guitar)... ang ayaw ko lang sakanya ay medyo mahina yung volume niya para sakin kahit naka earphones na... as one forumer said, "it gets the job done"  :-D

http://redwinedrummer.wordpress.com/2007/10/06/cherub-wrw-106-irhythm-metronome-review/
"It is also worth noting that 193BPM is incorrectly played by the metronome. It is too slow. Fellow drummers in the e-group confirms this. According to them, there is also another tempo setting that the metronome does not play properly. However, they don’t remember which one."

i might settle for this one....

downsides:
1. the total hardware or mostly parts are made from plastic. medyo maingat naman ako sa gamit kaya its ok for me..it's lightweight diba? mas ayaw ko naman yung bakal tapos ang bigat. and wag mo nga lang gagawing footswitch yun dahil masisira talga. at pwede i-mount sa tabi mo while you're playing.
2. lots of buttons to tweak on pero still manageable naman e (programmable siya if you want to change beats in 1 minute then iba naman for 3mins etc etc. Mostly volume knobs yung asa baba with different timing and note measurements. ang madalas ko lang ginagamit is isang beat to keep me in time at may blinker siya to tell you na youve completed the 1 bar.
3. DC adaptor not included-- well isa yun na down talga pro kapag batteries naman ok lang din. the machine is too small. beat lang ang papatakbuhin niya kaya di malakas sa batt. not unless you run it 24/7 with the LEDs on din. i bought it last year mga mid november and energizer batteries gamit ko up to now di pa ako nagpapalit.

yada yada yada.....

nagpunta ako sa silver gate (hawak din ng audiophile) sa sm annex... tapos sabi yung tama rhythm watch daw costs 4500 or less ata, di ko tuloy alam kung ito mismo yung rhythm watch or mas lumang model to, di ko kasi nakita, walang stock daw.

then saw this KORG metronome na very intriguing. yung beatlab. this costs 4700 more or less.

Metronomes/Click tracks on live performances: yes or no?
« Reply #149 on: August 30, 2010, 11:34:39 AM »
Just as the thread title has stated, do you or do you not prefer metronomes/click tracks when playing live? I've seen some drummers use them in order to keep a steady rhythm but others don't since their songs frequently change tempos.
