went to Lyric Trinoma kanina hoping to gawk at some guitars- sabi next week pa daw sila magkaka-stock ng ESP guitars, pero sa main office daw meron na. Made in Korea daw yung guitars, so...cheaper than what's on the website?

Yep. EXCEPT Steph Carpenter models. They used to have standard LTD 7 and 8 string models. Ngayon, yung mga 8 string models nalang na ginagawa ng ESP ay yung mga signature guitars ni SC.
EDIT:
7 string ESP posted above is an ESP Horizon NT7 model. Pero AFAIK, walang 7 or 8-string na model for the LTD line except the ones for Steph Carpenter.

ok naman ang EMG 85, they are Alnico V, yung EMG 81 I believe are ceramics, I'll try to make a demo after ma set-up ko na to. Tuners of this guitar are Gotohs, ang bridge nya is an original Floyd Rose (Special i think), kahit bolt on siya ok naman din ang sustain/resonance, a metal guitar for me indeed \m/

It's a great guitar, especially for an Indonesian-made. All it needs is your basic guitar set-up and you're good to go.
What I wanted was just to test-drive, so to speak, this guitar. Obviously, I ended-up buying it.hehe!
This is just an in-store video, shot during the "test driving" of the guitar. Not so good audio quality. Will make a better video with this guitar if there's time.

It is somewhat identical, but yeah, I don't think the ESP fellas would allow it. The guitar was specifically made or built only for George Lynch as part of his personal collection. I think the said axe doesn't even bear a serial number.
Here's a photo of George with some of his guitars and amps. You can actually see that particular guitar right behind him. Tignan mo, yung guitar lang na yun ang walang katulad or kapareha.

actually, i went to a branch of lyric once (i won't say which so that noone will get into trouble) and i wanted to try out their ltd ec-401 because i was looking for a guitar i could possibly get for my birthday but the manager lady was so reluctant to let me use it! she told me i could try it on the condition that i would buy it! kinda defeats the purpose of trying it. anyway i eventually got to try it by telling her "maybe" i have nothing against lyric. in fact, i think they're a great store. but yknow...some people :roll:
on contrary, the ones at trinoma makes you try even the signature ltd models.(tried the alexi and the adler.)

The reason I asked these is because I really wanted to have an ALEXI-200 (I first called your good office last May and still waiting), but it's ok if I needed to wait more. I am sure it's going to be worth it!
And if you can co-sponsor the above mentioned event, then I hope I (and other ESP-LTD owners) can get a chance to have our guitars signed by one of these 3 (Alexi, Henkka, and Roope).

those ec-407s look so beast. but im not really sure of buying a seven string yet so im hoping the new batch will have a ltd truckster so i can debate with myself whether to get that, a vb ec, or a kh-602 :lol:

i was gonna get this but what i was looking for was a downpayment plan kasi i can't go everything at once so i texted him and asked him kung pwede. he said no downpayment but strangely enough offered to let me pay a balance of 5k to start it off then it's officially mine. me, naturally being excited, told my mom and my mom was gonna text him and arrange everything nalang. then when i talked to her again, she said na he said that whole payment only :( maybe if it still isn't sold by next month, i might do a whole payment :lol:

Just got myself an LTD H1007FR. I honestly prefer it than the ESP Horizon NT-7. The ESP Horizon NT-7 is an awesome guitar, but i needed a neck similar to my Caparison which the H1007 has. Prog on!!!

Any guitar would be good my friend. The plus of the LTD MH-100 is it's quilted maple top and the color is STB (See Through Blue), black Nickel hardware.
The MH-50 is practically the same, minus the quilt top and the black nickel hardware. It comes in Black color, and chrome hardware.
Tried them both, bang for buck guitars. :-)

I'd go for the ESP LTD MH-100QM just because it looks cooler than the MH-50. But both guitars are practically the same just like what Mico said. I've tried the MH-100QM some months back and it's a kick-a$$ guitar given its price.

hey bro, would you care to elaborate on the tonal differences as well? How was the neck of the H1007 similar to your Caparison's exactly?

The ESP Horizon NT-7 uses alder wood and all EMG 707's on bridge and neck pickup. Sound wise, i found it a bit middy to my ears. I didn't like the neck that much because it felt kinda thin and small which is not my cup of tea, but i prefer it still to an Ibby. That's just my opinion.
SO i tried the H1007. The moment i held the neck it reminded me of my caparison which was good because it was chunky and I'm so used to playing chunky necks. The wood of the body is mahogany with a flame top which balanced the highs mids and lows. The Floyd rose, suprisingly it was very stable despite my violent whammy abuse, the guitar stayed in tune!. The pickups were EMG 81 and a 707 on the neck, maybe one day when i change strings i'm gonna experiment and switch them around.
The LTD MH-417 is almost similar with the ESP Horizon NT-7, difference is color, MH is mahogany, ESP is glossy, LTD is flat. Chunky sounding, Djent Djent Djent sound.

hey there! :) currently purchased a LTD SC-207 a few months ago.. solid feel overall, came w/ the stock duncan design pups unlike the "newer" models w/c features stock esp pups (forgot the model). medyo kulang pa sa attack/push yung duncan design, so i decided to put an emg707 sa bridge.. & then to my finding di sya fit sa pickup cavity?! :cry: i was expecting na ok naman siya 'coz i saw other similar models na naka-emg's naman.. confused, frustrated.. tingin ko swak para sa newer models w/ the stock esp pups. pero kausap ko na si sir micsis for modifications, yeaaah.. :-D happy holidays everyone!

I was disappointed by the ESP/LTD EC-1000 VB at Lyric MOA. Didn't bother to try it out when I played it unplugged. Discoloration on the 12th inlay, bindings were off at the cutaway (wing), fretwires were ugh.. Plays/feels bad too. Baka dahil sa factory setup (?) Parang hindi na nag reresonate yung kahoy eh. To think 1000 series na to.

not possible. the 1000 is about 47k. the 401 is considerably less. maybe what you saw was an actual ESP, not an ltd

I tried a couple of LTDs....bought 2 last year hehe...some were ok some were not...I personally didnt like the Laiho model....i even tried 2 guitars of the same model,,,there was a slight difference in terms of construction even the tone/sound...it depende tlga..minsan swertihan haha..minsan you have to try a couple of stocks of the same model...some of the lower end models sounded better than the higher end ones...etc... ...i beleive this goes for other brands as well..for example...i was an ibanez fan before..practically tried a lot of RGs, i had an RG450LTD w/ prestige specs..it really sucked even if i tried changing the pickups..it sounded dead...my korean made RG220DX sounded 10x better... :)
Anyways....I LOVE both my LTDs hehe

Yup. I think EC-1000's (and other Deluxe models) are all made in Korea. Wala na yung EC-1000 dun IIRC. The last time I went there, it was around early April, wala na yung EC-1000 VB. Turn off ako sa particular stock na yun. Not worth it.

ok lang yan sir you can play kung ano gusto mo kahit ano pa design ng gitara mo. ok din yang gitara na gusto mo nakapagtest ako nyan ng bumili ako gitara yun nga lang iba kinuha ko yung viper 50 :)

share ko lang. i have an ESP Edwards Les Paul type, i her name is "Dang", and with it's sound, my face melts. sounds like butter clean and dirty (kinda kinky huh)..
now,i have been attracted to the finish, the color and the craftsmanship of the ESP LTD EC-256. but the sound was beyond my expectations. me and my guitarist was blown-away! she worked well with my pedal set up. also with my amp. i call her "Nimbus", great job ESP.

Picked up an EC-50 completely out of the blue just because it was on sale. I don't know, I was looking around guitars for my budget and it was the only guitar that caught my heart at first sight, and especially at first strum.
Sure its not a high-end model but I'm loving it ;) feels like a huge upgrade over my Squier Strat lololol

Yeah instant. lol I guess you could wear an armband to prevent contact of oil or sweat to the guitar. Btw, where did you buy that Eclipse of yours? Is that the one at SM North?

I don't see why not, its a good guitar, sulit gift na rin. Even comes with a gig bag.
But if you're looking to make it his upgrade guitar, I think the EC-50 comes in as a much better choice. Better pickups, and between the 10 and 50 I tried out, the 50 had a better setup, especially with the action, but that's something you can fix.

Aren't Schecters' necks supposedly chunky? I find it somewhat uncomfortable to play Schecters - chunky necks, overall weight is a backbreaker. Have you tried the MH-417? I love that axe. It's a beautiful beast!

Exactly. what i had was a schecter damien 7 and i really found that neck difficult(i have small hands too) but this 8 is surprising.

The Schecter you got from me was 26 scale if i'm not mistaken, and neck is really chunky, i also had a hard time doing power chords on the lower frets.
Where did you get your 8 string? The scale of the guitar is just 25.5, just like a regular guitar so it's easy on the hands to play.

Set-thru. I think yung mga neck-thru, sa ESP models lang. Not sure pero yun yung napansin ko when I was comparing a Horizon ESP to its LTD counterpart. I have a GAS on Horizon. It's fixed bridge in Black Aqua finish. Wala ata yun sa ESP Guitars site pero meron sa catalog. Must resist GAS muna.

some hate the active pickup choice (I think this guitar comes in with the EMG 81), but isn't the EMG "the" metal pickup of choice? I don't see it as a problem on my end...
plus, I love black. this is pure black class. any thoughts on this guitar guys?

any "ESP" under 1k usd is super cheap...as an esp and emg user i must say that guitar is a keeper...and besides that guitar is made for metal so i don't think that is not an issue

Previous owner apparently had extraordinary guitar care skills. She looks and feels new despite her age. And thanks to sir Arie, she's playing crazy easy now.

Looks like the neck is in gloss finish. Prestige neck would definitely feel faster than glossy finish necks. Diggin' arch tops? Buy an RGA Prestige! lol OT. Don't sand the neck down bro. Leave it as is. Although if you plan to repaint it (like Mico), then I think that's the time you can sand the neck. Sayang yung finish.
As for me, matagal pa ako magkaron ng Horizon. Boo. :|

Here's a Horizon for sale bro but its in Estonia :-( But I bet you'll love the flamed maple top! it's not in blue though.
Also the neck profile is a bit thicker, probably by a few hairs, compared to an Ibanez 1570. Transitioning from an Ibby Prestige to an ESP Horizon won't be an issue :)
The TOM bridge without a stopbar probably requires the most adjustment, playing-wise. It just felt odd to palm mute at first.
OT:
Tried to get a deal for an RGA321F but someone beat me to it. It was like, gone in a span of hours. Damn expensive too, but the fact that it got sold real fast just means how amazing your axe is bro :D
I had zero chance to get that piece. So hold on to yours, hehe :D

That Horizon is just beautiful. I'm definitely loving the flame top. Matching flame top headstock too. If this was blue, I'm dead.
Won't be an issue if you play Ibanez and ESP regularly. I've no problems in terms of feel when playing the RGA321F and the Korean EC-400. I actually think they're a good combination to use. The thin U neck contour of ESP is one of the most comfortable necks I've played. TOM without stopbar? Check out the RGAR52QM (the white/blonde one). Sorry slight OT guys.
Tried to get a deal for an RGA321F but someone beat me to it. It was like, gone in a span of hours. Damn expensive too, but the fact that it got sold real fast just means how amazing your axe is bro :D

Are you talking about the Bela Lugosi LTD M1? :) Had massive GAS attack from the ESP M1 late last year :razz:
If they follow the MAP of 999 USD, that would be below the price point of the ESP Standards (the lowest priced is the M1 which is 1400 USD at MF, basically a bare-bones guitar). Consumer wins! Otherwise, the 1417 USD is still a lot for the money, probably the upcharge is due to the tuning system :)
I am not sure if there would be an LTD release for this model, meron cheaper than the ESP original series, Edwards na kasi yung next.

Binalak ko nalang din mag pa customized ng guitar na ganito lang yung shape. ^_^ haha

That. Except Gibson bought Epiphone. LTD was mainly under ESP. LTD's are made in Korea, Indonesia, China, and even Vietnam. While ESP's are manufactured in Japan only. LTD Elites will be on a different discussion since they are LTD's, but are made in Japan.

That will be the LTD Elite. But rumor has it that previous LTD models will be discontinued. Just a marketing strategy, I think. My Eclipse is discontinued. Not that it bothers me.

I sent Trinoma an ESP KH3 guitar which got sold. Almost all of the ESP's are all in Horeshoe Main.
wow wasn't able to see this personally. I doubt a guitar of that caliber is going to stay on the rack for a long time :)

Despite for its price tag, I'm much surprised ESP guitars move fast. The price of all LTD's and ESP guitars are approved by ESP. They take into consideration the tariffs, taxes and what not.
I'd like to. Invite you to head to lyric main branch so you can check all the ESP guitars at 80 florentina horseshoe drive, just behind robinsons magnolia.

the will adler WA-600 is made in Korea. The WA-200 is made in China. The WA-600 is as good as the ESP Japan version and is much cheaper than the actual signature version. It uses the same pickups as well as the original. Feels like any other regular Eclipse, his flag logo on the fretboard can be bothersome when looking for the 12 fret but you get used to it.

the black label flag was confusing at first but i got used to it. the pick ups were awesome though. really built for shred. i use emma pisdiyauwot as my pedal with mxr super comp. and i think i got the right attack im looking for ^^

Yeah the flag got to me to too! Lol! Thick strings sounds killer with it and low tuning. Its a great playing guitar.

very light, JB is very versatile (clean and metal awesome), neck is a tad fuller than the RGA Prestige, build quality is solid, and upper fret access is great.

No. Not all. Hit or miss. In my experience, mas maraming "hit" ang Chinese-made and mas maraming "miss" ang Vietnamese-made. I had two MIV EC's before. One had very poor inlay work. The other one's neck/fretboard edges felt really uncomfortable. Felt sharp. Both have decent top finish though. Sold the two eventually.

Wala akong masabi bro. Excellent craftsmanship for a 10k~ ish priced guitar. Compared it to the similarly priced Hamer and Jackson na naka sale sa JB. The hamer sucked. Ang panget ng pagka gawa. Hindi pulido. Para madaming 'lampas' - just look at it yourself. Maganda yung jackson. Similar yung craftmanship vs. LTD M10. Pero i chose the LTD kasi I like Metallica better than Megadeth. lol.

UNFORTUNATELY, the LTD lower end models lang ang included in the sale despite the poster. I clarified this with two stores. It is said in their FB that those in the stores in the selected branches ang 50%.
So most likely, the "higher" LTDs - including the H series guitar I was suppose to buy - will be kept tomorrow so they won't be part of the sale.
Really sad as I was hoping to get the LTD I really wanted. :-(

I think someone in their Marketing made a mistake in their release of this press. Two employees of different branches apologized to me to the fact that not all LTDs are included. And another from another branch near my home texted me that they are just selected items thus not ALL. They were very respectful though in their communication and "sinasalo" lang siguro yung mistake.
Now on their FB they said all those inside the store as clarification. So mukhang itatago yung mga not included based on the memo the store manager told me about. I'm just speculating on that as a way to follow the memo.
Hope next time they do timely promotion with all concerned in the know.

300s and 400s if I remember correctly are not included as per the memo as told by MOA branch. Better call them to get the official word. Bukas pa ata sila. Numbers are on the FB. Let us know what they say.

Went to lyric festival. Sold na karamihan ng guitars. Blackstar amps 50% off. Pinakyaw na rin ang elixir.
Ayus ah. Daming kumuha rin. That means if they included ALL ESP or LTDs, they could have sold more. Pretty sure they have their reasons this time. Hopefully susunod na sale kasama na talaga lahat and well-communicated.
Since I was not able to get the LTD H308, I just got a Blackstar ID60 amplifier so it's all good. :)

Ahh. Salamat sir! Got mine Php 6,400.00 sa Viper-10 from Shopwise Cubao Lyric. hehe. Meron dun LTD na price is 46,000 (di ko maalala kung ano model), may kukuha na dapat since 50% so 23,000 na lang, di na kinuha kasi sira PU nung tinest. sad. haha.

Madalas di sira yung pickup, it's the pickup selector, it needs to be jiggled hanggang kumagat. Di kasi nagagalaw kaya ganon, anyway enjoy your guitar!!!
