Title: Entwistle Pickups

searched about 10 pages back...you know how the search bar is.
anyway i've seen these mentioned in previous threads. marketed by artec on their website (http://www.artecsound.com/pickups/entwistle/index.htm), available in TMS cubao/hifi lounge, these are supposed to be good value for money. i'm currently looking at a pair of HV58's for my les paul. i'm not exactly sure what store policy is about trying out pickups, lol
experiences? thoughts?

HDN bridge are a tad bright but im loving it it really bites
i agree with the HDN. one glassy humbucker, pero hindi brittle... :D
tried it for a few minutes on my rg120, kasama na kasi nung nabili ko. kung mahilig ka sa harmonics, this one's for you. gave it away to our other guitarist though kasi di ko naman na magagamit. fitted my rg with dimarzios right after.

After much deliberation, we decided to haul in the Artec Giovanni GCH-1 and GCH-2 rather than the HV58 (at least for now.. maybe I'll bring it in later)..
..cause the GCH-1 is a few notches cheaper than the HV58. both almost have the same specs (except that the HV58 has twin-row adjustable pole pieces). I believe the GCH is a little louder than the HV58 though.
regarding trying out the pickups; I always send one guitar installed with a set of pickups. Although they don't stay long in the store cause they get purchased din.. :D
anyway, just standby for updates. the cargo hasn't arrived yet. :x

if you'll ask me, I like an XS62N on the bridge, then GCS-1's for the neck and mid. Mas makalansing kasi ang GCS-1 in those two positions :-)
sakto... i bought gcs1s for the mid and neck. right now i have a doublerails on the bridge. love that thick sound! pag nag sawa nako lagyan ko na ng entwisle yung bridge. thanks for the advice!

it's probably because of the typo; it's ASN57, not 75.. :-)
anyway, just like the number suggests, they are voiced like 50's pickups (close enough). just the right brightness. quiet even when distorted. you might still hear very, very minimal hum though. but barely noticeable. depende na rin siguro sa amp/pedal.
kuya Jon Dela Cruz (Elegee) ordered three sets of it for his clients' axes. You might wanna ask him for a review. :-)
just a warning: there is a hum-cancelling coil under the sensing coil, so check if your guitar's pickup cavities are deep enough to accommodate it. If not, you might need to bring it to a luthier para laliman yung routing.

Dark Stars have a bit more lows/bass than HDN. So baka yun ang para sa yo :-)
ytse_neil's guitar has an HDN in the neck and a Dark Star in the Bridge.
What I like with the Dark Star is, even if it's a high output pickup, it still cleans up well as you roll the volume pot back. People present at the recent GAS Day witnessed that.. :-)

Sir ytse_neil, review naman dyan ng HDN-Darkstar combo.
I''l be having my pickups replaced this Saturday.
I test them both to clean tone.. eto napansin ko..
HDN (neck): versatile yung tone nia.. mas clear yung tunog nia kapag naka clean, more on mids and treble.. Tingin ko nga pwedeng pang acoustic eh.. Kapag nakadirt naman ako (I used Sebastienn Pedal's [gooey brown stuff]) more on mids and treble yung tone nia...
Darkstar (bridge): Kung metal or heavy rock tugtugan mo panalo to.. Mas mabass siya than HDN.
I'll try to make a demo.. Ganda ng tunog ng 2 pick ups.. Panalo talaga sulit 2k mo...

if you're a strat fan, an HDN in the neck would be your natural choice :-)
although masarap din Dark Star sa neck; since the DS has a bit more bass and low mids, mas "fluid" yung sound ng mga picked runs and sweep arpeggios mo, in my opinion :-)

HVX isn't available yet.
I'm not saying infinity pickups aren't good, but you will definitely hear improvement with the dark star. :-)
I said that Infinity pickups are ok because I tried a new RG350M (the one with maple fretboard), with an Infinity set. It sounded good, well, at least for me :lol: (probably because the maple fretboard made them sound brighter)

same here. :-) I installed a set to a Stagg R500 (PRS-look alike). that inherent "honky" tone was minimized. Some twang emerged :lol: Don't get me wrong; I love PRSes. It's just that the strat sound works for me better

just for everyone to understand; the HDN's got neodymium magnets, that's why it's a bit more expensive than the Dark Star. Again, the choice is up to your preference / genre / playing style.. :-)

madalas ako sa TMS Cubao at SPL Raon dahil yun ang accessible for me (coming from head office or from home). yung kalikot or yung extra setup pag may napansin akong kelangan ayusin sa guitar mismo ay kung hangga't kaya ko lang; otherwise, if there's really a problem, Jon Dela Cruz/Elegee is just an LRT2 ride away from SPL or TMS lang naman. salamat

It's a 1985 Yamaha Session II 520 with Artec HBBA Humbuckers. In my opinion, those HBBAs sound like Entwistle HDNs, but with a little less output. Both sound strat-ish in the neck position

i already using the HDN humbuckers last November for me ok na ok siya swak ang mid nya at tone niya para sa settings ko...
and nung pina install ko kay mang max and he check it, may katulad sya na gawa ng dimarzio im not sure kung anong model...
i love the response kaya di ako nagsisi na ikabit siya sa Hamer Vector ko... swabeng swabe...

Nabasa ko sa previous post ung HDN more like na strat sound and ung Darkstar more on heavy sound. Im not a start fan. I like the sound of LP, SG and Ibanez RG. So siguro mag Darkstar ako sa neck and bridge ng yamaha ko. Ipon, Ipon muna =)
Unahan ko na si Dax... :lol: HDN = P1,295 per piece (Bridge/ Neck) Darkstar = P995 per piece (Bridge/ Neck) Take note... HDN uses Neodymium magnets, which are believed to be the most powerful magnets to date. Dark star, on the other hand, uses ceramic.

Yeah.. =100000 for this.. Parehas kami ng set up darkstar bridge and HDN neck BUMBASTIC brad.. Ang versatile ng guitar mo..
yeah, versatile enough yung setup na yan. :-)
to those who have a set of HDNs in their axes, try experimenting with tone caps. If you currently have a .022uf tone cap, try changing it to .047 to get a rounder tone. :-)

preference mo pa rin kung set or mixed :-)
well, improvements will be:
-higher output -clarity -stronger bass and mids -added brightness

for everyone's info, Dark Star and HDN come only with black covers. If you want a white one, check out Artec's HBWA (sounds like HDN, but with a little less output and has alnico 5 magnets). If you want a zebra cover, TMS have the Artec GCH-1. Entwistle pickups are mass produced by the Artec factory, by the way :-)

for everyone's info, Dark Star and HDN come only with black covers. If you want a white one, check out Artec's HBWA (sounds like HDN, but with a little less output and has alnico 5 magnets). If you want a zebra cover, TMS have the Artec GCH-1. Entwistle pickups are mass produced by the Artec factory, by the way :-)

i have two HBs of Entwistle Pickups. handmade by Allan Entwistle. I know the man personally.
never used the HBs though.. nandun lang sa cabinet, naka stock for 3 years na. maybe if i could find time, i'll load them on my LP and check if they sound better than what's currently loaded.

it's probably because of the typo; it's ASN57, not 75.. :-)
anyway, just like the number suggests, they are voiced like 50's pickups (close enough). just the right brightness. quiet even when distorted. you might still hear very, very minimal hum though. but barely noticeable. depende na rin siguro sa amp/pedal.
kuya Jon Dela Cruz (Elegee) ordered three sets of it for his clients' axes. You might wanna ask him for a review. :-)
just a warning: there is a hum-cancelling coil under the sensing coil, so check if your guitar's pickup cavities are deep enough to accommodate it. If not, you might need to bring it to a luthier para laliman yung routing.

xs62n? walang dummy coil yun, that would fit na agad dahil the usual dimensions naman yun. ASN57 ang merong dummy coil. :-)

Yep.. I guess sa pag record lng un :lol: gumagamit kasi ako ng amplitube... as a preamp at ung settings ko sa HM ng M9.. matalas talaga :lol:

out of stock na rin ang Dark Star. Mag-HDN or Artec HBBA all the way ka na lang if you're in a showband. Call the guys in Hi-Fi to check if they have them at the moment.

IMHO, the Darkstar is actually more like a DM Super Distortion. It also has ceramic magnets.

OT lang: originally i'm from LB talaga pero tga Mamatid ako ngayon (sa mga byenan..hehehe).
BTT: Dark Star pup yung kinabit ko bro and after an hour or so nabuhay yung tunog ng guitar ko. Medium output din kasi nakakabit na stock so after putting Entwistle pickups, nagenjoy na ko itest to the point na ibabalik ko na sana yung guitar sa case then napansin ko na I forgot to return the backplate of the guitar. Hahaha. Anyways ok din yung Artec, (I'm actually looking forward to those green artec pups.)

Any of you guys tried this kind of setup in your strats? I need some reviews and feedbacks sana before i buy those pickups.
Im more into neck pup user for rhythm parts then i switch to bridge for solos. Im looking for a bright stratish tone...

ka-chat ko yesterday si Dax sa YM. ang recommendation nya is reverse.
put the AS57N sa neck tapos XS62N sa bridge. mas makalansing daw ang AS57N eh. ano palagay mo sir?
Ano ba character ng XS62N? Is it warmer or brighter?
I backread on this thread na ang AS57N daw mas malalim yung mga poles. So baka di magkasya sa cavity ng strat ko. What do you think guys?

oh yeah. about that, i just prefer 62's coz they're copies of texas specials, and i prefer their voicing over that of the 57s.
and yeah, i tried to fit the 57s on my strat...well the average strat might need additional routing sa body coz they're taller than the average single coil pickup para mag kasya sila sa cavities.
And if Dax recommended such an option, i'd go with that. If it wasn't for the routing problem on my strat, I would've tried that out.
one last thing, i have an SD hot rails on the bridge so i really can't do the "62 on the bridge" option. :-D

uugong talaga yan pag pinagsama mo lahat sa ground yan :lol:
for the nth time: ( :lol: )
ground = bare + black signal / hot = green parallel / tap = red and white (if you won't tap it, just keep em soldered together and shield with a tape or shrinkable tube)
now regarding polarity, alternate dapat kada coil (i.e. north-south-north) depending on the magnet phasing of your pickups, you might need to invert the position of the pickup by 180 degrees and use the green as ground and the black as hot. pero mababaliktad na kasi yung logo pag binaliktad mo (hehe) , so yung middle single coil ang babaliktarin mo if ever out of phase :)

i have the HDN sa neck right now. then get the darkstar for the bridge position pag may stocks na :-)

Woah! Nice! I am interested with the Darkstar humbucker pup. I am currently using an Inf4 in My Gax70.I am not very happy with the sound. But I am sure that it is because of the wood of my guitar. Because with my other guitar which is a LTD EC Custom MIJ which I only bought from a surplus. I am only using an Ibanez pup as well.Which is the Ibanez ah6. The sound of my LTD is full and clear.It also sounds fat. While my GAX70,it sounds "Lubog"..And I cant let go of the guitar.Because my mom and wife gave it to me..
I am not into metal,I am into punk so I am looking for a sound that's not too dark sounding...Does the Darkstar sound too dark? I am looking for a warm and yet high output tone..I think Alnico does not match my Ibanez guitar wood..it lack sustain since its an agathis body...

Finally!!! I got my hands on an Entwistle Darkstar Pickups Bridge and Neck installed in my guitar with an Agathis body and this is what I have to say: Bridge: The overall sound is like a tight-bassy-chuggy-in-your-face pickup that just screams when you put distortion on it(and the gain is not even near 12oclock yet) and the characteristic is really bright but clean enough to have a really nice clean almost "jazzy" twang to it(since there was another guy checking out the Aria guitar model with the Darkstar's installed, he was sort off playing a jazzy tune to my ears) Neck: At first to me, when I changed the pickup position, I hardly found any difference to it, until I re-setup my guitar since I had no time to really tweak i in the store, I am amazed on how clear and bassy it sound to me, almost the opposite of what I expected since the bridge pickup is punchy and is tighter than the neck pickup Overall I love these pickups and how they sound, I am really satisfied since I found my sound in these babies, to all who have questions regarding the pickups, I suggest you try them out for yourself since everyone has a difference preference, like me and to my ears, these are the perfect pickups that I found that matched my guitar and playing style if your going to TMS Cubao, ask for Kuya Abe, or Abe, wag niyo raw i sir kasi di kayo papansinin nun haha :-D btw, I tested the pickups with the normalflat EQ and my EQ which is full bass, half mid or depending on the amp and full treble and 9oclock gain to full gain(depending on my mood :evil:)
next time, im getting a HDN for my Basswood guitar :-)

Di po ako nag cocompressor sir, di ko talaga alam purpose nun haha :-D sa TMSCubao, Crate Amp na digital(ata) ang testing amp nila eh, pero nung pag uwi ko, triny ko muna sa distortion ng amp(Laney LG20, brit tone hehe), mas maganda ang buga niya than before, then triny ko naman with my pedals(Kevin's BSIAB,awesome :-D), di na ko natulog since nakuha ko :-D
on the cleans naman, punchy cleans siya pag full volume, yung bridge tight na tight talaga, sa neck, bassy na smooth, kahit clean, pag rinollback mo volume, halos magkatunog na sila :-)

I got my hands on an Entwistle Darkstar Pickups Bridge and Neck installed in my guitar with an Agathis body and this is what I have to say: Bridge: The overall sound is like a tight-bassy-chuggy-in-your-face pickup that just screams when you put distortion on it(and the gain is not even near 12oclock yet) and the characteristic is really bright but clean enough to have a really nice clean almost "jazzy" twang to it(since there was another guy checking out the Aria guitar model with the Darkstar's installed, he was sort off playing a jazzy tune to my ears) Neck: At first to me, when I changed the pickup position, I hardly found any difference to it, until I re-setup my guitar since I had no time to really tweak i in the store, I am amazed on how clear and bassy it sound to me, almost the opposite of what I expected since the bridge pickup is punchy and is tighter than the neck pickup Overall I love these pickups and how they sound, I am really satisfied since I found my sound in these babies, to all who have questions regarding the pickups, I suggest you try them out for yourself since everyone has a difference preference, like me and to my ears, these are the perfect pickups that I found that matched my guitar and playing style if your going to TMS Cubao, ask for Kuya Abe, or Abe, wag niyo raw i sir kasi di kayo papansinin nun haha :-D btw, I tested the pickups with the normalflat EQ and my EQ which is full bass, half mid or depending on the amp and full treble and 9oclock gain to full gain(depending on my mood :evil:)
next time, im getting a HDN for my Basswood guitar :-)
may free installation of pick ups ulet sa TMS cubao kuya?

The test model they had, it was basswood(i think, sounded like basswood LOL) and it sounded great to my ears :-)
If that test model is an Aria or Stagg, that's an alder body (all Aria/Stagg solid bodies that TMS have are alder)
I recommend Dark Star for the bridge position in basswood bodies to add some lows (contrary to the name, basswood doesn't have much bass, that's why they're ideal for lead players because of the strong mids and highs. what i really like with the darkstar is its noiseless kahit high gain... sabi nung isang gitarista namin bakit parang ang "Bassy" ng tunug :-D :-D tapos try niya ung guitar niya with stock pups and pansin na pasin ung difference.. pati sa recording ang bigat ng tunug and very clear siya..

I've the darkstar neck. Got it as a gift from a friend. It balances well with my super distortion in the bridge of my vendetta 1.0. back for the buck talaga to. Di lumalayo quality nya sa dimarzio as far as high output pups go. Looks awesome too takaw pansin lol. :-D

Try the darkstar sir. Tone in my GRG made significant changes when i changed it. Ganda ung bridge PU nya. Ung neck feel ko medyo muddy. Pero nawawala naman ung pagkamuddy pag naka coil split so aun. Not sure though, baka nasa pagkasetup lang ng sakin :-D I may try the HDN for my neck PU if I'll have some spare moolah :roll:

Check out the Artec Rails but I suggest you modify your guitar to a fat strat (SSH) for death metal. :-) :-)

Try out the rails, dunno if it would suffice for death metal. what i meant was modify your existing guitar to fit in a humbucker. Single coils+high gain pedals= noise galore. :-)

I didn't want to depend on a maybe from TMS, so I went ahead and ordered these from Ebay. Good thing I did. I checked Hi-Fi Lounge last weekend and wala talaga silang gold-covered pickups.
I'll try to keep things in perspective here.
For the most part, they look well made - they're definitely generously potted, which is a good thing. But I swear I wouldn't mind spending an extra dollar or two if Artec used sturdier wiring. Having them longer would be nice too, as there was little allowance left for the neck pickup's wiring by the time the other end made it to the electronics cavity of the Les Paul.
Sound-wise, I'll need to explain. This particular pickup change of mine was a downgrade (I had a pair of Bill Lawrence L-90's on the LP previously) and I heard a noticeable drop in clarity. But I expected that. The sound isn't anything mind blowing, but the HV58's are still definitely better than any stock/OEM MIK, MIC or even MIJ pickups I've heard, and that includes the stock pair of my Les Paul. The stock pickups were downright muddy. While the HV58's still accentuated the already warm inherent tone of the guitar, I wouldn't consider it muddy at all. It's that vintage tone thing, I guess.
I still favor my Lawrences, but they're nearly twice as expensive as the HV58's and not as easy to procure. A Seymour Duncan '59 costs nearly three times as much. So, with options like the Artec/Entwistle along with my favorite Bill Lawrences, I don't think I'll ever think of buying a Duncan or Dimarzio again.

nope, i was wrong, kakabili ko lang kanina ng Entwistle DS neck pup, the sale person give me the exact specs written on there category list. then tiningan ko iba nga. :lol:
neck: dc resistance: 16k eq: low 8, mid 8, hi 7
bridge: dc resistance: 16.5k eq: low 8, mid 7, hi 8.5
Entwistle DS is a copy of Dimarzio superdistortion according to the category list given to me by the salesperson. basically pwede mo ilagay yun neck pup's sa brigde pup's vice versa depende sa gusto mo.

after a long busy day i just finish installing these two pickups (darkstar neck and bridge). i'm amazed how these two pickups sounds thru a mahogany bodied guitar, clean to high gain applications
i'm lucky since out of stock yun DS bridge, nakahanap ako ng 2nd hand sa classifieds. mapapabili na sana ako both neck pup's :lol:

pareng gene, remove the pickguard to check if the bridge has a cavity ready to fit humbuckers. ganun yung strat ko. pwede sa humbuckers and the other way around. kung pwede, bili ka nalang nung darkstar, swak sa budget mo yan. sana nga lang may white? :-D gusto mo pag nagpunta ko sa gf ko daanan kita, tignan natin. sagot mo pamasahe ko :-D

XS62N can really sound good even with high gain pedal. IMO!!!
I have a Boss MT2 UltraGain Sustaniac Mod, kayang kaya ng bridge pickup ko. Try mo bro, it wont cost you an arm or leg if you try... :wink:

Gusto ko sana kabitan ng Darkstar sa bridge para mas makapal na tunog ng bridge. Pero dont get me wrong, Im very happy with the tone im getting from the stock humbucker pickup of the GSA pero kung may ikakapal pa, why not diba? heheheh

Darkstars are quite sharp pickups na may onting pagka-rounded ang tunog. Pero clear at buo, could be articulate too, reminds me of Paul Gilbert's early days

Hi there! I'm new here, I'm writing from Brazil. I recently tested a tanglewood SG with the HDN pickups and I was amazed by the sound. But I didn't have money for that SG and I bought another basswood national SG guitar. So now I'm looking for some Entwistle pickups to get closer to this sound:
Which pickup should I buy that split as good? HVX, Dark Star, HDN? I usually play: Zeppelin, Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Ac/Dc (and I can't play but I love the sound of Malmsteen's stratocaster).

I'm thinking of restoring one of my guitars at home... having the S-S-H config... eh since I found out na mura lang ang Entwistle pickups (abot na abot ng budget ko) and been reading good reviews about it, is it good if I decide to let the S-S-H config to carry XS62N on both neck and mid, then Dark Star (or Dark Star ND if meron) sa bridge? I'm not so sure about the wood though, pero judging by the weight, it's more of a Mahogany...
and I play mostly Metal music... and sometimes some Paul Gilbert if I feel like a virtuoso (even if not, lol!)
what do you guys think? (can't buy kasi a new guitar, so I would be saving up for a restoration na lang if ever)

Seems a few RJ LP's get a .047 tone cap that stifles the guitar a bit. Then either install a treble bleed cap, or switch to 50's wiring. Lower the pickups also, whilst raising the pole-pieces. These adjustments are virtually free, try mo muna on the stock pickups. See if it improves a bit.

done na bro, a friend bought it for me... will be picking it up tomorrow or next week... now the only thing I need now is funds for restoration... ill start with refretting then last na yung repainting... but as we speak, i'm very happy with the way things are going... parang sunod-sunod na silang dumadating at nangyayari...

I've tried a pair of Darkstars with an Ibanez RG that has basswood body.
IMHO, great sounding pickups. good on clean and dirt. you can never beat that at that price point. sulit yan.

This is what I got from Keith of Entwistle
The Dark Star is available with ceramic magnets as well as a neodymium version (the Dark Star ND). The ceramic version does sound darker because it has lost highs. The Dark Star ND bridge and the HDN bridge are the same pickup but the HDN neck has less windings than the Dark Star ND neck so it is a little less powerful and a little brighter. The reason for this is to balance it better to the HDN bridge because, as you have probably experienced, a bridge pickup tends to sound bass light and a little less powerful than a neck. If you pluck a bottom E string you will see that its vibrations get bigger as you move away from the bridge which means that the string is putting more energy into the neck pickup, especially the low frequency fundamentals and harmonics.

All i can say is they are very clear!! for the bridge pup, may slight wah sound when bending high notes! astig! swirl sounding guitar according to others.
For the neck naman, they are piezo like cleans! pwede pang acoustic sound! ganda!

the guitar i recently got has an HDN neck pickup. i like it but i'm not too crazy about it's strong magnet pull.
But yeah it's a tight sounding pickup. nice cleans. very bright. Made the Dimebucker sound warm in the bridge oddly enough :-)

Yup, HDN are bright sounding in terms of MIDS. mataas mids nya for my hearing. so parang sa mga strat lang... so preference lang talaga. actually yung HDN ko kaya din ang chug chugan... depende na lang sa distortion and EQ na gamit siguro.
sa Music source, may list sila na pinakita sakin, Darkstar sounds like or close to Dimarzio Super Distortion, HDN are described to sound like Dimarzio FRED but high gain.

Sir, try lang ha, nung nag install kasi ako ng pickups ko, wala rin akong idea maliban sa sinabi saken ng binilhan kong music store na pang bridge un, pero na nung tinatangal ko na ung stock pickup ko, I noticed na merong letra pareho sa ilalim mismo ng pickup, I think its a sign na bridge pickup nga ung nabili ko, kasi may nakasulat pareho sila na capital letter "B" sa ilalim...I hope it helps you... :)

the feedback problem isn't really from the pickups since HBs are basically built to combat feedback.
just back off on the gain dial on your pedal and/or amp. you dont need MAX'd out gain knobs to get that "METAL NA MAY BALBAS" tone.

Mukhang okay nga, di rin naman ako nag ttodo ng gain sa pedal madalas 12o'clock lang tas 7o'clock yung gain ng OD ko. Mas trip ko yung medyo crunch kesa sa uber high gain hhehe

I use HDN both bridge and neck on my RG320. MAY SLIGHT WAH SOUND WHEN BENDING!!!!!! SARAP!!!! and i can play any genre from it, depende na lang sa effects mo siguro yun, pwede naman i-tweak.
I use this guitar sa variety band and sa metal band, magkaiba lang ng patch sa multi ko.

If Charvel So Cal gamit ko at tugtugan ko ay post hardcore, ano po magandang ilagay sa neck? HDN or Darkstar?
Ayon sa nabasa ko sa mga user reviews and different forums, The HDNs are the most versatile among the batch of neodymium pickups under Entwistle name. They say na pwede siya for fusion, jazz, rock and even metal.
And also, Darkstar neck and bridge is an evolved version of HDN bridge... Ang kaibahan lang is yung HDN Neck from which has less windings and tuned down a bit to match the HDN bridge and or to add more versatility sa overall tone ng HDN Neck.
SO, if ako tatanungin, I think I'll go with HDNs set since mas may versatility cya IMHO due to the neck and bridge are tweaked differently to complement each other unlike the Darkstar. :-D
Kase parang for me, the Darkstar (16.9K) is too powerful for the neck position pero subjective pa din yan, depende pa din sa taste mo.
Sir vittobrat? May humbacker for neck pa kaya sa ever? Tumawag na ako sa Alabang at Cubao branch..pareho wala na.. Puro neck na lang humbacker nila..
Plus anu magiging effect kung humbacker for neck ang nilagay sa bridge ng strat? Ok ba tunog? Hehe first time ko pakikialaman gitara ko..

i don't see anything wrong with using neck recommended pups sa bridge position
for me kasi po, pups are simply "guitar microphones" po.
if you have a guitar that is good sounding, then it should sound alright given that you have used the opposite of what was recommended by the pickup for the position.
ginagawa ko din yan bro..
nga lang kasi, i-set up my pupa differently from others.
